The RHT CABA ASEAN Summit 2021 continued to explore the region’s most pressing issues. Themed “ASEAN in the New Normal: Advancing Towards a More Sustainable and Resilient Future”, more than 30 senior diplomats, business leaders and other expert panellists shared their insights on the pandemic’s impact on the region and the way forward for its recovery. They covered a wide range of topics including supply chain, sustainable development, regional mobility, and digital economy.
Despite the aftermath of COVID-19, we are at a place where we can start at base zero to make the world a better place by leveraging technology to improve financial inclusion and the plight of disenfranchised groups by harmonising laws, developing interoperable systems for exchange of human capital, and working towards healing the planet. This puts people and the planet of premium importance alongside profits.
